Pipeline Architecture & Engineering

System Architecture: Image Compare & Pixel Difference

Deterministic, client-side execution path from raw input pixel buffer to production artifact.

Image Compare & Pixel Difference system architecture blueprint
1 Dual-Image Aspect Normalization

Ingests both visual assets, aligns spatial coordinates, and detects dimension disparities across buffers.

2 Per-Pixel Delta Computation

Executes channel-by-channel difference evaluation to identify modified pixels beyond configurable sensitivity thresholds.

3 Split-View & Difference Rendering

Renders synchronized split-slider and high-contrast red pixel delta heatmaps with percentage alteration scores.

How It Works

Understand the process and the deterministic browser engineering behind this utility.

01

1. Upload Two Versions

Drop your original reference image (A) and your modified revision (B). Images are aligned in transient browser memory.

02

2. Select Interactive View

Slide across the split-slider to inspect visual alignment, or switch to the difference map to highlight changed pixels.

03

3. Tune Delta Sensitivity

Adjust the threshold slider to distinguish between lossy JPEG/WebP compression artifacts and genuine design modifications.

Behind The Scenes: Deterministic Engineering

Zero-Cloud, High-Performance Client Processing

Pixel differences are computed deterministically by comparing the RGBA channels of each corresponding coordinate across both canvas buffers. When the maximum channel delta exceeds the user-configured sensitivity threshold, the pixel is flagged in high-contrast red. Computations run locally without transmitting images over the network.

Underlying Browser Technologies:

  • Aspect-ratio alignment & normalizer
  • Real-time split slider canvas rendering
  • Deterministic pixel-by-pixel delta shader
  • Percentage changed metric computation
